• The Veil:
    The Veil, also mistakenly known as the afterlife, is a sinister alternative reality that exists alongside our mundane one, hidden from the eyes of ordinary people. It's a place of perpetual darkness, where eldritch horrors and ancient, unknowable entities lurk in the shadows. These entities are not bound by the laws of physics or morality, making their motives and actions beyond human comprehension.


  • Eldritch Entities:
    Eldritch beings are entities that exist withing The Veil. These beings are characterized by their indescribable and terrifying features, such as their forms that defy the laws of nature and challenge the very limits of human perception, and perceiving an eldritch being is enough to drive a person to the brink of madness. The human mind struggles to reconcile the illogical and grotesque nature of these entities, often resulting in hallucinations, paranoia, and a deep, unshakable dread.


  • Veilwalkers:
    Veilwalkers are extraordinary individuals who possess the rare and dangerous ability to traverse between the mortal world and The Veil. They are the bridges connecting these two realms, acting as conduits for those seeking to confront, communicate with, or harness the eldritch entities that lurk within the dark recesses of The Veil. However, their extraordinary powers come at a terrible cost, forever marking them with the horrors they encounter.


  • Cult of Madness:
    Also known as the "Disciples of Desolation," is a cult comprised of individuals who have been drawn to worship the eldritch entity Mepharis, and possibly are under their malevolent influence. They believe that the Ascension of Madness will bring about a new world order, where humanity will reach a state of perpetual peace, free from all the pain and suffering of their limitating mortal state.


  • Ascension of Madness:
    According to the Disciple of Madness, one day Mephis will bring eternal peace and salvation to humanity, transforming them into a collective hive mind that will no longer suffer any form of pain and will be freed from all their struggles. In reality, however, this is worse than that.



  • Proxy:
    A Proxy is apparently an ordinary human being, who, however, often through the help of a ritual, has become the host body or the connection between an eldritch entity and the earthly plane. Thanks to their bond they can draw on a small part of the entity's powers, but the latter will be able to manipulate their body as and when it wants.
